There are two types of fire alarms:
- Single-Stage Alarms require Immediate evacuation of the building.
- Two-Stage Alarms have two distinct stages. The First stage is stand by/investigation. The Second stage will sound after 5 minutes, the alarm speeds up to three on-phases and one off-phases every 4 seconds) with possible vocal instructions; immediate evacuation
